Sometimes superior quality is subtle. Supporting a manufacturer’s 10-year written warranty can be a real challenge for a fulfillment outsourcing business, particularly if they don't have access to high-quality assembly sourcing companies in Asia. This customer’s enclosure for high-voltage electrical terminations is installed in every kind of environment imaginable. Saltwater spray, desert sun ultraviolet rays, agricultural over-sprays, these enclosures have to be able to handle any environmental challenge. The customer’s 10-year warranty is great for their customers, but it provides massive challenges to the vendor providing the finished enclosures.

NIC Global worked closely with this customer to identify alternatives to the powder-coat finish being used when the work first came to us. The customer was experiencing finish failure, which was causing warranty returns. Luckily, we offer more specialized solutions than just steel casting sourcing. Our finishing engineers created a specially-formulated wet paint finish that dramatically increased durability and created a more attractive look.
